Under sink One Stage Water Filter System (US-2) is suitable for home, apartment, schools, hotel, restaurant and anywhere there is a faucet connection. Is ideal for kitchens with limited under sink cupboard space. This system (RA-US-2) features a 5 micron sediment pre-filter to remove sand rust and sediment and high performance 5 Micron Coconut Shell Carbon Block Filter. Quick-Connect fittings make installation a snap. A 1/2-Inch hole is all that is needed for the faucet stud (all series), but a cover plate is included to accommodate larger pre-drilled holes.
The US-2 accepts all standard 10-inch replacement filter elements. So when it's time for a new filter, you can rest assured that you'll find all the right parts. .

A Sediment Water Filter removes the physical debris and impurities from your water. The sediment filter has tiny holes through which water is able to pass, however the unwanted particles are not. As these particles come in different sizes, so do the filters. The filter sizes are measured in microns, the smaller the micron measurement, the smaller the holes in the filter, allowing to hold back the smallest of particles. Generally, for water that is more visibly polluted, containing larger particles, a sediment filter of a larger size (such as 20 or 50 microns) is recommended in the first stage of installation to prevent the clogging of the next stage(s) of filters.
